Your sponsorship protects places like the scenic Thornfield Disc Golf course, making sure Kansans have places to recreate and enjoy nature. Forever. This "four-person scramble" style tournament draws in players of all levels from the KC metro area. KLT provides teams with lunch and drinks. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams and to the winners of individual hole contests. Thornfield Disc Golf Course is not your average course. It's located on an extraordinary 114-acres of land protected by the Kansas Land Trust in a developing area of the Blue River watershed in Johnson County. The property contains an oak-hickory forest with red, black, chinquapin, bur, and single oak trees, and columbine flowers on the forest floor. The riparian woodlands that protect the Blue River include maples and black willows with understory asters and goldenrods. They are also home to a heron rookery!
